I paid 400 Bhat for a double room with fan
The Jansom Bay Bungalows are not actually on Jansom Bay itself, that honour is held by a pricey resort with very fancy accomodation that asks 100 Baht from non-guests that want to use the beach. Instead, Jansom Bay Bungalows is 1 bay along the coast. It comes recommended due to being far enough away from Mae Had to be quiet, yet not so far that you couldn't stumble the 10 minutes home after a couple of Singhas. Our bungalow had a double bed and a single bed, en-suite bathroom, verandah with hammock, deckchair and table, and a fan. Normally priced at 500baht, we bargained to 400baht for a 5 night stay. Live-in gecko family were included in the price :) The eaves were open to the elements, and the windows were shuttered rather than fly-screened. It's a nice place to stay for a quiet week on Koh Tao. |
